It Seems Tags Are More About Upvotes Than Telling What Your Posts Are About!
Hello Everyone! I have got to look at many posts here on Steemit and I have realized that there are some many smaller communities on this platform. They are hoping that you will use their tags on your posts. We can only use five tags here on this platform and it is overwhelming much of the time.

I see many of them like innerblocks, palnet, powerhousecreatives, and a new one creativecoin. I just do not know where to stop and end with all these tags for these communities. We are allowed five tags so where do we put what our posts are about in the tag section. If you want an upvote tag us with this tag. Tags have become the way to get upvotes and not telling people what our posts are about anymore.
This is just overwhelming, to say the least! I have found I seem to miss a post on certain subjects because when I search the tag very few of that type of posts pop up because people are struggling to get upvotes by using tags on Steemit nowadays. I guess that the upvote is more what it is about on Steemit now. So I would say tagging your post for what the post is about has gotten lost on Steemit. At lest, make your first tag what the post is about. Have a great day/night, whatever it is where you are!
You got to figure many curation people have the discord bot called Ginabot. Which is a steem notification service They only monitor one or two tags at the most. Second all the other tags is for your post to get on a certain frontend. I just recommend you use palnet. All other front ends are niche, and only use them if your post fits there criteria. Like weedcash fir cannabis, steemleo for investors, sports for sports, etc etc.
I have noticed from looking at most of the tags that they are certain niches. It will take some time but I will get it figured out. Thanks!
looks like Steemit is going to need to allow more tags. The people using things like innerblocks, steemleo, creativecoin, mediaofficials, palnet etc are doing so in order for the content to appear on those sites. Sometimes when you post from those sites, the site puts the tag in first place
Times are changing, just taking time to catch up and adapt.
That Steemit needs to catch up is the key here and allow more tags. I think things are moving to fast on the platform them to keep up.
