The Most Popular Tags On Steemit in the Last Period –Spotlight On DApps
The most popular tags are important thing on Steemit. You go to your feed, and here they are. On the left side showing the most popular tags. Life and photography seem to be stuck on the top of this list. Aldo, I find the life category a bit undefined. It is like “other” category in my view. People are adding tags to their post, and in the end they are out of idea, and just add the tag life 😊.
Nevertheless, DApps are important part of the steem ecosystem and it is expected to be even more important one in the future. It seems logical that at some point the most popular tags will be the one of DApps.
Here how the most popular tags look on 12.11.2018.

Photography is on the firs place on the list, followed by @dmania, life 😊, @dlike, and @actifit.
Out of the top 20 tags 9 belong to DApps. Here is the ranking
@dmania is a platform for sharing memes, @dlike is pinterest like app, and @actifit is activity tracking app. Seems like that the “Iightweight” DApps are taking over. And this is no surprise the majority of the user base will come from the lightweight DApps. I must say I’m little bit surprise by @dmania being on the first place. But nicely done. All the other DApps are well known and use on Steemit.
For the sake of comparison here how the most popular tags looked one month before on 12.10.2018.

Here the top 3 spots are reserved for general categories and @actifit coming on 4th place. @dlike seems to have made a significant progress in the last month.
I hope that in the near future we will remove the life category from the no 1 place on popular tags.
