Preparando la noche de San Juan

Parece que el calor ha entrado definitivamente. El cielo está bastante despejado y por primera vez, desde hace varias semanas, se ve en el horizonte la silueta del Teide.

El mar está tranquilo con reflejos brillantes por el sol. A esta hora, la marea está bastante baja. Algunos bañistas se han acercado para tomar el sol y algún valiente, incluso, se introduce en el agua.

El aire está más cálido pero tampoco hace un calor fuerte. Si no soplara el viento picaría en la piel.

Hoy es el primer día del verano y parece como si hubiera estado esperando hasta hoy mismo para manifestarse la estación tal y como es.

Los niños ya han empezado las vacaciones estivales por lo que los padres se lanzan con ellos a la playa para poderlos entretener.

En estos primeros días de buen tiempo, parece que todo el mundo se han puesto de acuerdo para venir a acampar aquí esta tarde.

Me acabo de dar cuenta de la explicación: Mañana es la noche de San Juan.

Tradicionalmente, esta noche en numerosos puntos de la isla se producirán fiestas estivales hasta la madrugada, en torno al fuego celebrando el solsticio de verano.

Por eso, muchos jóvenes han acampado dispuestos a pasar el fin de semana aquí y disfrutar de los amigos y la naturaleza.

En la parte de la ermita de San Juanito han preparado un lugar donde se celebrará la romería. Han puesto unas cintas atadas a cuatro postes que iluminan y se decoran con las banderas de España y Canarias.

Algunas furgonetas vienen a la playa cargadas y bien pertrechadas con todo lo necesario para disfrutar de este fin de semana.

Traen sus tablas de surf y todo lo necesario para acampar y cocinar.

El festejo va a ser importante. Se notan muchas ganas en el ambiente de disfrutar.

Por fin, el calor ya ha llegado!

Its seems that the heat has definitely entered. The sky is quite clear and for the first time, for several weeks, the silhouette of the Teide can be seen on the horizon.

The sea is calm with bright reflections by the sun. At this time, the tide is quite low. Some bathers have approached to sunbathe and some brave, even, is introduced into the water.

The air is warmer but neither is it very hot. If it did not blow, the wind would sting the skin.

Today is the first day of summer and it seems as if I had been waiting until today to manifest the station as it is.

The children have already started the summer holidays so the parents throw themselves with them to the beach to be able to entertain them.

In these first days of good weather, it seems that everyone has agreed to come and camp here this afternoon.

I just realized the explanation: Tomorrow is the night of San Juan.

Traditionally, tonight in many parts of the island there will be summer festivities until dawn, around the fire celebrating the summer solstice.

That is why many young people have camped willing to spend the weekend here and enjoy friends and nature.

In the part of the hermitage of San Juanito they have prepared a place where the pilgrimage will be celebrated. They have put some ribbons tied to four poles that illuminate and decorate with the flags of Spain and the Canary Islands.

Some vans come to the beach loaded and well equipped with everything you need to enjoy this weekend.

They bring their surfboards and everything you need to camp and cook.

The celebration is going to be important. There is a lot of desire in the environment to enjoy.
