Dreams in the neither.pt 2.

Good morning, afternoon, evening, my good Kings, and Queens of steemit.

In the last part of this series we learned about a purple giant wizard in training in the middle of some sort of archaic magical homework. I thought we could check in today and see how things are going.......

Lodos knew it was time, he thrust his arms heavenwards, and took a deep breath through his nostrils. Allowing air to be sucked inside expanding his stomach he imagined the energies of his private studies to be drawn in through his lungs, up to his neck, into his mind. Anchoring himself to the ground feeling the positive energy of the planet beneath his feet. The words of power came to him as second language, as easily as fish traversing the great blue sea's, he too was swimming through the dark and cold neither.

Reaching out with eyes closed he was questing for his target. He knew this the life-force some have described as aura called spirit of the psycho scarab. In the material world this insect appeared as unintelligent perhaps even as gross to some of the females of his kind. But because of his studies he knew there was worlds of knowledge held within this small creature.

The scarabs spirit knew that it was being observed it knew no fear this was as much its domain as it was the wizard initiates'. The psychoscarab had evolved eons ago upon a harsh hellish world and there were no predators above the bug's own all consuming abilities. Within that universe it had been able to feed or unchallenged was the supremacy of this almost divine insect.

Lodos was reassured that he was not this insects natural pray however he also recognized the killing power held within this small life form. He was now attempting to form a connection with the scarab. All though the insect was anesthetized it was more then able to defend itself even unconsciously. An ability developed through many hardships and harsh environmental factors of planet of Psyginas.

A loud thundering sound "Kathoom!" The contact was established. Through the pain Lodos could understand the sound was not being heard through his ears but perceived in his mind. The insects spirit questioned not through language of the physical but of the supernatural "What do you want from me?"

Lodos was relived when the scarabs question was over for the blast of psychic energy almost shook him back to his plane of reality. He knew his words must be formed correctly and not one misspoken syllable would be permitted. "I am Lodos a seventh from the seventh of my lineage.I am to become a master and watcher over the realm of my birth. I come seeking to imbue myself with a portion of your good favor that I might spread my arms around my people to shield and protect from forces that would destroy us.

Again the sound of earthquakes fill his soul. Would this be his end?....
