Hello steemit!
I found you via a Jordan Peterson and Howard Bloom discussion. Still disconcerted about the amazingness of the whole Steemit idea! This could be the place to share years of personal writing. The Mushroom Forest. Breath. The Rosetta Days. Looking back, these were written to exorcise demons encountered in the advertising world. But there were also impossible angels...

Wellcome to Steemit.com
Hello!
Welcome :)!
Here a few tips for starters snce you probably won't get any advice from those who comment under here, here's what I gathered thus far.
It's tough to make money at first so if that's your main cause to be on here grind that into your head straight away, that doesn't mean you shouldn't post content, you should, but enganging with others in the comment sections to grow your following is your best bet. Which categories?
Probably the introduce yourself one and the photography section but you can choose things that you have knowledge about too and then go from there just know that there is a lot of crap on here so plowing through that just to connect with others can be tough. Cheers.
Welcome to steemit
Enjoy your stay!

Thank you. Still trying to find my way around, but so excited to see such amazing people here! And thanks for #redfish. Exploring!
Hey there welcome to steemit. I am sure you will enjoy writing here. This is a good place to find fellow folks with similar interest. I hope you have a good time here :)
In just a few hours, I've spotted some great writing. You're a horror story writer, I see! Good stuff. Thanks for the warmth.

Welcome to Steemit from Indonesia, this is an amazing platform for creativity and imagination. Share, comment and make friends
Look forward to getting to know you!
Well, as a fellow South African, welcome to the platform! If you do choose to share your thoughts, I'd be interested to read them :)
Oh wow. How marvellous! Love what I see about you and yes! I'm here to collaborate on so many levels. You're a tree lover. That's big in my book. Keep in touch during the rollercoaster ride we're on!
Absolutely! After looking at your website, I'm so intrigued with what you do. It sounds powerful! I would love to keep in touch.
Thanks for the interest - the field we're in has such amazing potential to heal the post-Zuma wounds. Also, we've created useful models for developing and navigating storylines. Sure you can imagine how taking real learning into online gaming would sort out so much of the kak education most South Africans get. Sound good? What are you studying, btw?
Wow, I can imagine the social impact that this kind of thing can have, especially on our next generation! I have just completed my BA in English and Philosophy. I am now wanting to go into some form of coaching - assisting people live out their most productive and fulfilling lives. I am using this time to network and research into which area of the field I want to get involved in.
Hello Eugenie and welcome to this planet!
Your brief more social introduction was a step in the right direction. It is true what @thauerbyi said - it's a tough call making yourself visible at first. Your experience in the ad-world is likely to help making the essence of what you wish to share most salient.
My intro as an introverted old hermit was way too serious..washed into oblivion by a solid stream of garbage, barely noticed. And I suspect, over and above this, that there is a slight bias amongst the more salted inhabitants against any newbie making a serious statement, with a hard to turn cognitive dissonance kicking in!
All the best!
ps..as a fellow inhabitant of this beautiful country, should you ever wish to visit Stilbaai, 'somerlus' in your search engine will lead you to reservations for a cottage right on the beach ;)
Be still my heart! Somerlus sounds sublime. And I have serious wanderlust right now... So who knows ;)
