A new steemian just arrived

My name is Patience and I'm a new steemian. I guess thats how they do introduction in movies you know, they're like my name is Barry Alen and I'm the fastest man alive, my name is nick burkurt and I'm a Grimm. Well this isn't the movies so my name is Patience and I'm new here, got invited to steemit by my elder brother @official-hord, he didn't really invite me like hey little sister heres a card to steemit see you there nope, i caught him chatting with a friend about sbd and i was baffled at what in the world could be an sbd so i decided to ask and he explained.
His explanation

Steemit is a platform where you earn for writting detalied and really good content, and also connect with people and socialize, according to him its a monitized facebook... Dont tell him i said that, so i got the website address from him and followed all the steps to registering, waited three to four days for the confirmation of the account and here i am writing my introductory note.

I'm 15 years old, just concluded my secondary education and heading for a law degree, hopefully by next year i should be in the university, I'm here to not just keep myself busy, but to showcase a bit of my writing skills and earn some few sbd, i hope that works out. I stay in Abuja Nigeria, and I'd be delighted to meet steemians here in abuja, hey my brother mustn't hear this so if youre reading this its between us, and i hope we have a good time steeming together.
