The Super Nintendo (SNES) is considered one of the best consoles that were ever made. From 1990-1998, the SNES had one of the most incredible and diverse video game libraries. From RPG’s, Fighting Games to Action, this console is one that should be sought for because of its legacy for collectors and video game loves. The SNES classic is scheduled to come out sometime this year. So in honor of the SNES, here are my top ten games for the system. Please write down yours thoughts and please follow.

Honorable Mentions
Secret of Mana ,Super Mario Kart ,Super Punch Out , Illusion of Gaia , Super Mario RPG, Contra 3, Street Fighter 2, Super Star Wars , Super Castlevania IV, Sunset Riders

Number 10:
Mega Man X (Capcom,1993)

Mega Man X set a new standard when it comes to action games. Capcom tuned up the Blue Bomber with a game that delivered one of the best sound track on the console, unforgettable enemies with an amazing story line. The X series had two other games on the SNES, X2 and X3, but Mega Man X established the footprint and paved the way for other great games in the series.

This game is not as perfect as the arcade, but it still delivers. This side scrolling beat’em up set the standard when it comes to that genre with the SNES. Fun and unforgettable, this game is always fun, no matter how old it is.

Final Fantasy III (SquareSoft, 1994)

Originally Final Fantasy VI in Japan, this RPG classic has one of the greatest story lines in the franchise. Considered to best the best Final Fantasy to some, the game brings plenty of new features to the franchise. Great character and an unforgettable villain, Final Fantasy VI features a story line that touches many. The game also takes a morbid turn at certain moments such as having a character committing suicide. This game should be in your library. There other versions of the game on the PS1, Game Boy Advance , Android and IOS. ff3boxfront.jpeg

Number 1:
Chrono Trigger(SquareSoft,1995)

Where do we start with Chrono Trigger! First, it is considered on of the best RPG’s ever made, to some, the best game ever made. With a gripping storyline, unique characters that will capture your hearts and an amazing battle system, this game is surly one of those that every RPG lover must play. There have been rereleases for the PS1, Nintendo DS, Android and IOS, that is how good it is. The best version in my opinion is the DS, but the SNES is the one that established the legacy of the game! A must play and if you can, a must own. 19744-chrono-trigger-snes-front-cover.jpeg

@entice, Star Fox was the first game I ever owned on the SNES after long years of going to Blockbuster (RIP). Those were the good ol days!

That's a pretty solid list. One of my personal favs will always be Super Mario Kart. :D
