Día 2/Day 2: Far Favàritx - Fornells 23km

(ENGLISH BELOW!!)

Hoy ha sido un día largooo y duro!

El calor aprieta, y aunque empezamos la jornada caminando a las 8 am, parece que seguiremos sufriendo este calor infernal algunos días más.

Estamos caminando 2 etapas al día, y hoy hemos hecho el primer tramo del tirón para poder disfrutar de una pausa en la maravillosa playa de Arenal d'en Castell.

El inicio de la etapa transcurre por el parque nacional de s'Albufera d'es Grau, al noreste de la isla de Menorca. El parque fue declarado de interés internacional por la UNESCO por su gran variedad de ecosistemas, y ha sido sin duda un camino agradable durante las primeras horas del día.

Aunque llegar hasta el Arenal d'es Castell tras recorrer los aprox. 13km ha sido una alegría!

Después de un largo y merecido baño, retomamos la ruta hacia Fornells.

Se nos ha hecho eterna, pues hay el último tramo hasta Fornells que pasa por asfalto.
23km en total que nos han parecido 23.000!!!
Fornells, es conocido por sus playas y su caldereta de bogavante - pero su precio medio de 65€/persona nos ha echado para atrás!! Jaja

Mañana tenemos otra larga jornada, a ver cómo lo llevamos. La verdad es que el calor agota mucho, especialmente en nuestros piececitos, las botas de montaña, necesarias en este terreno, nos están cociendo los pies cada día!

Today it's been a long hard day!!
The sun is strong and the heat too much! Even if we started earlier than yesterday, it looks like this high temperature is going to be our companion for the next days!

We are walking two journeys in a row, and we've done the first one non-stop to be able to enjoy a relaxing bath in the wonderful beach of Arenal d'en Castell.

The beginning of this journey goes through the national park of s'Albufera d'es Grau, at the north-east of Menorca.

The park was declared of international interest by the UNESCO due to its variety of ecosystems co-living together. It's been a very nice walk for the first hours of the day, but honestly, arriving at Arenal d'en Castell after 13 km walking it's been a joy!

After a long and well deserved swim, we return our way to Fornells. This last part has been tedious, since it went along the concrete road. 23 km in total that seemed 23.000!!!

Fornells is well known for its beaches and "Caldereta de bogavante" - a typical fish and shellfish typical meal. It's high price (65€€/person!!) made us almost cry! Jaja

Tomorrow we have another long journey, let's see how we end up! Truth is that this hot weather makes us feel exhausted, especially our little feet: hike boots (so needed on this way), are cooking our feet everyday!
