Today, one year ago - Hoy hace un año #3: Tourism, Beach and Currys Dinner in Koh Samui - Turismo, playa y Cena de Currys en Koh Samui
Continuing with our trip to Thailand, today I tell you that we did the 10th of July of a year ago through Koh Samui, which is where we were. So come on, start the day on Koh Samui!
Siguiendo con nuestro viaje por Tailandia, hoy os cuento que hicimos el 10 de Julio de hace un año por Koh Samui, que es donde estábamos. Así que vamos, empieza el día en Koh Samui!
We started the day having breakfast at the hotel and going to the beach that was next to the hotel to enjoy the sea breeze. We wanted to start the day in a quiet and relaxed way and that better than a swim in the beach.
Empezamos el día desayunando en el hotel y yendo a la playa que había al lado del hotel disfrutando de la brisa del mar. Queríamos empezar el día de forma tranquila y relajada y que mejor que un baño en la playa.
My wife and I made a drawing in the sand and we sent it to the grandparents so they could see that we love our little Marcos, which is what I love the most in the world.
Mi mujer y yo hicimos un dibujo en la arena y se lo mandamos a los abuelos para que vieran que echábamos mucho de menos a nuestro pequeño Marcos, que es lo que más quiero en el mundo.
After having a good time on the beach we went to see the Big Buddha of Koh Samui where we were taking photos and enjoying this temple, the Largest of the island.
Después de pasar un buen rato en la playa nos dirigimos a ver el Big Buddha de Koh Samui donde estuvimos haciendo fotos y disfrutando de este templo, el más grande de la isla.
After eating and taking a coconut ice cream with its juice for dessert, which was spectacular, we went to a beach near the Big Buddha and spent the afternoon there.
Después de comer y de tomarme un coco helado de postre con su jugo, el cual fue espectacular, nos fuimos a una playa cercana al Big Buddha y pasamos la tarde allí.
When we took the motorbikes, we had an experience of the most curious, it dropped a torrential rain that lasted 10 minutes. We stopped at a gas station, but the funny thing is that the people there did not stop, that is, a brutal storm was falling and they were still on their motorbikes with their raincoats. What's more, the gas station workers themselves looked at us thinking, why do they stop? :-)
Cuando cogimos las motos, tuvimos una experiencia de lo más curiosa, nos cayó una lluvia torrencial que duró 10 minutos. Nosotros paramos en una gasolinera, pero lo curioso es que la gente allí no paró, es decir, estaba cayendo una tormenta brutal y ellos seguían en sus motos con sus chubasqueros tan tranquilos. Es más, los propios trabajadores de la gasolinera nos miraban pensando, ¿por qué paran? :-)
After the rain, we stopped at a 7-Eleven, bought some Chang and went to the hotel pool to take a bath, to discuss the future of the Ethereum and to drink the Chang before going to dinner.
Una vez pasada la lluvia, paramos en un 7-Eleven, compramos unas Chang y nos fuimos a la piscina del hotel a darnos un baño, a debatir sobre el futuro del Ethereum y a bebernos las Chang antes de irnos a cenar.
That night we decided to have dinner at a restaurant near the hotel. Its price was a laugh compared to Spain and it was a great dinner, we tried several types of curries and lots of Asian dishes. We liked it so much we would repeat. We finished the day and went to sleep.
Esa noche decidimos cenar en un restaurante que había cerca del hotel. Su precio era de risa comparado con España y fue una cena buenísima, probamos varios tipos de curry y muchísimos platos asiáticos. Nos gustó tanto que repetiríamos. Dimos el día por acabado y fuimos a dormir.
I had already spent the first full day in Koh Samui and we still will wait the best. In the following posts you can see how our trip continued. More tomorrow :-)

Que buenos recuerdos @malonmar! Lo de la lluvia torrencial fue muy gracioso, sobre todo porque habia quienes seguian circulando en moto con paraguas en mano WTF! Nuestros debates sobre Ethereum en la piscina cuando 1ETH cotizaba por debajo de los 8 dólares! Madre mia!
jajaja que buenos tiempos @romangt87, parece que fue ayer cuando estábamos ahí hablando del ethereum y disfrutando del agua caliente de la piscina. Lo de la lluvia fue de traca, ver como la gente seguía a su bola sin importarles el chaparrón fue impresionante, están muy acostumbrados a ello. Y a nosotros nos llueve aquí en Madrid 4 días seguidos y nos agobiamos jajaja

Es que supongo que por el tipo de alimentación a esa gente no le da gripa y por eso se quedan tan campantes bajo la lluvia. Ese coco se nota que esta divino, por aca en Venezuela se consigue todo el año, es una bendición. Espero seguir leyendo tu fascinante aventura. Saludos
