... contest. Maybe not comparable to my Iceland or USA videos but I like it:)

Now some thoughts about the past year:
It’s been a tough ride with our little one having surgeries, sleepless nights and our office expansion. One „brave“ patient looked at me in Mid December and said: „Actually you look pretty bad Doc!“ Well we made it this far. Having a strong marriage helps a lot. Sticking together no matter what, supporting each other in dark days and trusting the other one blindly.

But actually we should be excited for 2020. At least 3 vacations coming up - stay tuned for the pics and videos! The little one is making progress every single day and it’s a pleasure having her around. It totally changed our lives for the better.

My Steemit journey started in July 2017. Back then we were posting many times a week, made friends and of course made some bucks. Many people liked my photos which is really really cool. In 2018 and 2019 many people turned one’s back to the platform. This price dropped significantly and what about the SMTs?! Well the community feature is on it’s way in 2020 and SMTs still in beta.

Star on the horizon: APPICS. You all are familiar with the success of Instagram, SnapChat and TikTok. We know the YouTube and other social media stars, who make millions by receiving ad revenue and get paid by companies to promote products. They invest hours in their photos and videos. But not all of them. The content quality does not always relate to the reward they get. If you start today as a „small fish“, you barely have a chance. By giving them feedback (comments) and appreciate (like their posts and videos) you get nothing out of it. In my opinion Appics fills this gap. You receive rewards (APX tokens) by posting and curating content. If you invest in yourself, your voting power, your influence in the community rises.

Let’s wait for the next update of the app and the „release“ to the public. If these steps run smoothly, I feel really positive about Appics' future. The team behind the dApp showed that they believed in their product during the SMTs delay and worked a way around it. UI is great and I guess the missing features, compared to Instagram and Co, will follow in the future.
