Optical Illusion by Mirror: That's what My Brother Says He was Doing

in #science7 years ago

Hi dear Steemians, My little brother was very busy these days in his Science Exhibition Project. He showed me a Scene which I found quite beautiful. image

Actually he used:

  1. A top opened box:

  1. A black chart paper with small pieces of white paper fixed as shown in the photograph.

  2. Mirrors:

  1. Sellotape:

5.Blade , Glue etc..

He first fixed the mirrors inside the box on the two opposite sides. Made a hole just above one of the mirrors( This is the hole through which the first, second and the third photos were taken) on the box and let the light fall from the top. Now due to continuous reflection of light by the mirrors we see a long road..

Though it seems not that perfect., but I think it's OK because he is in 7th standard and didn't take anyone's help in that

All photographs except the sellotape were taken by himself

Happy Steeming. Please Upvote and follow

               Have a nice day

I don't know why but I think illusions are always associated with mirrors. Even magic. They fool your eyes. Make things appear weird that your brain can't interpret immediately. I thought at first the photos are a lot of cartons made to look like a tunnel-like road but it was just a single road plus the mirrors.

I always hated mirrors in horror films. I'm kinda scared of them. Objects are usually a lot closer than they seem.

I too maintain a very good distance from mirrors in the night..😝 Thank you for the comment @travel-trail

Hahaha. Just give me the creeps, y'know. I have a very wild and creative imagination and sometimes, I'm scared my reflection would stay even if I already went away. Ugh! Then, I'll look at it and it'll smile back at me. 😱😱😱

Haha.. Thats so funny..We're on the same boat😝😝

Cool.

Thanks for the visit @akshayb .. Yes it was cool

Wow nice

Thank you
