German-Trail update - Opt-Out if you do not want Votes!
Official German-Trail update
Dear Steemians - the official curation account did start 3 days ago. Originally this account is designed to help finding and rewarding great content related to Germany and / or in German language PLUS the Trail is also curating / upvoting other topics especially Beer, Sports and History in addition.
Recently there have been some negative comments and persons spreading wrong information about the trail and its curator. As it is a censor free platform one can say and think whatever they want - a few dislike the work of @steemtrail and do their thing to discredit them in chats. One main thing was accusing trail curators to vote for themselves stating the "trail is working exclusively for @uwelang". It is true the curator upvoted one of his own posts (not a post by the Trail) 3 days ago. There are different opinions on self voting - I do think in theory this is legit when the trail is giving support for over 20 Posts per day helping Steemians to earn more rewards and increase the reach of their content. Almost everyone is upvoting their own posts - if a trail curator does an upvote on a post of his personal account everyone says - "BAD TRAIL / BAD GUY".
The curator of this trail therefore wanted to make sure not to vote any single post of his personal account anymore - but following wrong accusation and bashing this might change and the curator takes the freedom to decide this. Feel free to comment your view.
Being transparent here are the rules for curating the @German-trail account:
- No upvote of any posts made by the German-trail account
- Identifying posts/comments I like
- Upvote these posts/comments
- Leave a comment for the post or comment...NOT upvote your comment
- Engage in comments
- Always comment with something meaningful
Some might not be happy with the outcome though so here is your chance to say - No - Stop voting me!

Zuerst war ich etwas irritiert, mit so vielen Stimmen gevotet zu werden und relativ wenig Reward zu generieren. Aber ich habe mir das genau angesehen und denke es ist alles wunderbar.
Bitte weiter so!
Einziger Wehmutstropfen ist, dass meine bisherigen Follower teilweise mit 100% gevotet haben und nun aus dem Trail heraus mit 10%. Aber auch das ist kein Grund zu verzagen, solange nicht alle meine Follower im Trail sind :)
Das tut mir leid mit den geringeren Votes - muss man mal beobachten
Ich habe eine Idee - evtl. warte ich wenn ich Deine Posts vote paar Stunden, so können einige deiner 100% Voter schon mal bewerten bevor der Trail kommt, was meinst @schmangerbert ?
Ich habe da keinen Plan, aber ich sehe es als nicht so problematisch an, es sind ja nur wenige im Trail.
Mach ruhig wie du denkst, ich habe da Vertrauen. Schließlich gibt es ja noch den Zuwachs an Followern und die Rewards sind nicht der einzige Grund zu steemen. Ich bin gerne hier!

For starters, the honest thing to do would have been to disclose, that it's you and only you who runs this 'trail'.
It was pretty obvious from the start, since the topics 'german', 'beer' and 'sports' is the exact stuff you blog about.
Coincidentally, after opening this noble trail, your own posts got voted on by steemtrail and your rewards jumped up - 'Curation' pays well and I can't even blame you for doing what the big fish on Steemit do too.
However, your reaction and threatening me with legal consequences speaks for itself, I think.
It was you who called me names in chat and to 'run away' from you.

In fact, I plan on going to more Meetups and chances are, you will meet me there.

Thanks a lot - i would understand complaining if someone upvotes all their articles and comments but that is not the case at all - anyway..... :-)
Der German Trail ist seht wichtig, um neuen deutschen Autoren Mut zu machen und Rückenwind zu geben. Ich finde daher, dass das eine sehr lobenswerte Initiative ist.
Wer klar denken kann, muss an einer stetigen Zunahme guter Autoren auf steemit interessiert sein.
