Hi, Debbie's introducemyself- I'm a noob here but I am also a seasoned copywriter, marketer and many other things :)

Hi Steemians,

I’m Debbie, and I write for a living. Kinda.

Apart from writing, if you’re a content marketer, you’d know that it’s not just about words, but words that sell and tell.

Dive deeper into content marketing, and you’ll see that there are many branches of expertise under the big umbrella of digital marketing. That’s where I’m at.

Keen in learning and always open to opportunity, I couldn't imagine doing anything else other than the creative line, though being a creative person is something I’d never thought I’d be but never come to accept that as a fact.

Growing up, my parents would love for me to have a stable job. And by having a stable job, that means working in cubicle nation.

But of course, being the relentless me. Life has a wicked sense of humor. I didn’t do what I’m set to do- to become a doctor, a prime minister, or a pilot (those sorta jobs).

Instead, I stumbled upon this profession as a digital nomad. A marketer. A solopreneur.

To be honest, until this day, I won’t dare claim that I’m an expert (though clients pay me to run their digital platforms, social media networks, and content creation) but these are the things I do to put food on my table.

Sometimes, I lecture too. But lecturing and training people can get pretty tiring after awhile, and you kinda need to love conducting these sessions (all. the. time) because well- like I said, for me, it's tiring unless you love it.

When I’m not busy staring at my Mac, you will most likely find me at coffee joints, tasting various cups of brewed beans, and checking out local scenes around a new country.

I was born to travel, and still am.

When I was a baby, my parents had to make their rounds in the car, then only can I sleep.

When I was a toddler, a walk to the beach is a must to fall asleep (I lived in Maldives for a short stint) to calm myself to sleep.

When I was a rambunctious teen, I’d skip boring school sessions to have my version of fun in some foreign spots, only made famous by those playing truant.

I’d investigate new places, know new faces and constantly searching for missing pieces to fix my life.

Travel fulfills me. It can sometimes be exhausting but I'm happy doing it. Who doesn't?

And it's not just because I wanted to be a digital nomad to escape the 9-5.

Heck, but the nature of my character doesn’t allow me to function effectively from 9-5.

My out-of-the-world ideas would only say hello to me in my sleep. Third voices whisper in my ears, and I’d replay odd monologues, only comprehensible to myself.

3 am is my sanity.

To me, being normal is accepting the abnormality that governs my being. I thought I'd never fit in.

But now I realized, why fit in when you can stand out?

As Henry Rollins puts it eloquently,

"You need a little insanity to do great things."

I'm still working on the 'greatness' part though...

PS: This post is written at midnight.

PPS: Let me know your thoughts (e.g. things you'd like to see more, pictures you'd like an improvement, anything at all). Also, I love meeting new friends, and if you're in the same creative field as I am, hit me up with a PM!

PPPS: On a random note, here are some pictures I thought it's cool sharing with the community. Just 'cause I'm craving for Mac&Cheese at this hour, ANDDDD... 'cause I was also testing out a new filter earlier :)

K. Thanks. Bye. Good night...
