Proposal for a new tag ( #men-blog )

in #tag-proposal8 years ago (edited)

I would like to use a second account for a themed magazine.
The idea is to use the account to resteem handpicked good content posted under the related tag.
This way, any author can contribute and curators can be directly forwarded to content with a certain standard.

A quick rough sketch to give you a feeling for the theme:

I would like the magazine to contain useful information for men of all ages.

Once in a while I could propose a topic and then later pick the best post and include it into the magazine.

I don't want the magazine to be dogmatic or patronizing, but educational, friendly and helpful.
That's why I would prefer a comic-style as presented above.
I would also like to invite everybody to join and leave some suggestions for possible topics here.

If this proposal raises some interest, I would like to establish some rules for the tag.

These tags would make sense, but I find them a bit boring; suggestions welcome:
#men-blog #gentleman #gentleman-blog

I would like to use the tag to gather some ideas and suggestions to begin with.

If you like this, please leave some suggestions below.
Most important would be a good tag, that isn't taken yet.

Thank you for reading,
have a great day !

Interesting ideea @felixxx, I hope it will be a hit!

Interesting approach. How about:
men-mag
steem-boys
steem-osterone
cojones or
ggg (girls, guts, gear)?

The way it is right now with the tags, I think it should be a tag that can't accidentally slip under your post.
I don't want the tag to be abused, but to be a way to evaluate the contributions.

So that when people browse the tag, they will find relevant posts to vote for.

Thats' why I think #men would be too unspecific and we couldn't regulate it.

Okay, will let it sink in for a while... Maybe during my daily walk something will pop up.

I like it, but I would want the category and the resulting ( resteemed ) magazine to be relevant outside of steemit too.

Steeman

Or menofsteem

menonsteem
steemen
steemates
steem-mates
steemate-mag
(just quick drop of ideas...)

Thank you for posting @felixxx. Here is a query for you. This is not related to your main subject, however in running the scenario of creating a separate account for a very specific topic, it seems there is overlap thus creating confusion, when the goal is to run the accounts separate to avoid confusion. Is there a site with information regarding this matter.

All the best to your endeavor. Cheers.

I don't understand the question, sorry.
Let me answer a different one: A themed blog, so curators have it easier, as this blog here is more of a personal blog.
Also, I will not make a lot of profits from resteeming - I would try to aim at referals from outside of steemit to generate some traffic.
If once in a while I manage to create relevant and approved content for the proposed tag on this blog ( @felixxx ), I might resteem that too, then - for personal profits.

Thank you for your reply. If one could have a themed blog versus a personal blog in the manner you describe; how would one go about creating it? Apologies for the confusion.

I started by making this post.
To make a new account on Steemit, you have different options ...
Once I can decide on a name, I will try to create a reddit account, post about my idea there and try to raise enough karma to open a new Steemit account.
