Jesus is alive

Jesus is truly alive, we too can encounter him. He longs to meet us, just as he met Mary Magdalene and the other Mary. We meet him when we open our hearts to him, when we seek him with faith, when we strive to obey his commandments of love, and when we take steps to share the Good News with others. We encounter the Risen Lord in prayer, in the scriptures, in the Sacraments. We fall down at his feet in homage when we come into his presence in the Blessed Sacrament. With hearts full of Easter joy, we can make our own the words of the Psalm: “My heart is glad and my soul rejoices, my body, too, abides in confidence.... You will show me the path of life, fulness of joys in your presence, the delights at your right hand forever.”
