Syrian Airstrikes. The Media Blur

The combined military might of the US, UK and France targeted three key locations that are believed to be involved in the production of chemical weapons in Syrian. This, after the western countries accused the Syrian Regime led by Assad of killing more than 70 people using highly toxic chemicals.

A media battle between the West and Pro-Syrian media networks followed after the attack, creating a blur of facts that are difficult to sift through to get a clear picture of what actually happened in the airstrike?

Missiles and Targets

How many missiles were launched and how many hit it's target? Official reports released to CNN stated that 105 missiles were launched from frigates, bombers and a submarine and hitting all its targets successfully. On the other hand, Syria and Russia claimed to have intercepted 71 out 103 missiles using the Buk system.

Video footage of undamaged fighter planes and airfields were released by Syria and it's allies.

While a Pentagon spokewoman said, "We met our objectives. We hit the sites, the heart of the chemical weapons program. So, it was mission accomplished."
