Syria's recent situation, Deal failed in Afrin, 150 killed in Ghouta || 20 Feb

• In first 24 hours of Ghouta offensive, almost 150 people killed and more than 500 are wounded due to artillery/missiles shelling and airstrikes on civilian areas, many of them are children and women. After hundreds of casualties in just first day of offensive and as Russian minister foreign minister Lavrav has announced their plan that "they will use same strategy as used before in Aleppo" to expel about 393,000 civilians from besieged Ghouta of eastern Damascus, there would be more casualties in upcoming days.

• The fierce clashes have also started in the war fronts of besieged towns of Eastern Damascus. Its just start and maybe we will see more violent fights in this offensive as many of journalists are considering it as last offensive to defeat rebels. Number of casualties of fighters from both sides are unknown.
  
  The siege of Ghouta in Syrian capital Damascus is one of the the longest siege of the modern history as after 9 battles in more than 5 years of siege, rebels in Eastern Ghouta are still resisting but they lose many neighboring areas and besieged pockets in continuous pro-Assad government campaign. • The Turk forces captures new areas with Turk border in their "Olive Branch" offensive in Afrin against Kurd YPG. After one month of offensive Turk forces and their rebel allied groups have captured almost 10% of the Afrin enclave. Number of casualties from both sides are unknown.
  
• Almost 8 civilians are wounded in the shelling from Turk side in Afrin offensive. Some cources claim one child was also dead in the shelling. Yesterday, Turk forces also bombed heavily the road entrance from pro-Assad forces held villages to prevent Syrian forces and allied groups to enter in Afrin region.
  
• The deal between Syrian forces/Iran and Kurd YPG groups has been failed due to Russia as both of the sides are blaming Russia for the failure of the deal. Iran and Syrian forces want to fight alongside YPG but Russia think that it would destabilize the control zones agreed between Russia and Turkey. YPG contact said that;

"Russia is responsible for the failure to reach a deal with the government up until now. Russia wants us to lay down our weapons. The government wants to fight alongside us."
