Assad Approves Gas Attack in Idlib?!
On Friday, I had written an article on the possibilities of war or diplomacy in Idlib, now it seems like there is no hope for any kind of peace there! Syria's Assad has given the OK for a gas attack in Idlib, something the US's Donald Trump has said would be met with retaliation! They did this once already this year, are we heading to it again?! The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday:
Syrian President Bashar Assad has authorized his forces to use chlorine gas in the assault on the last significant rebel redoubt in the country
This article goes on to say this about what the US can and might do:
US President Donald Trump warned last week against an offensive by the Syrian regime and its Russian and Iranian allies, while the State Department said ahead of an American official’s visit to Israel earlier this month that the US will respond to any chemical attacks by Assad’s forces.
“We haven’t said that the US would use the military in response to an offensive,” an administration official was quoted saying. “We have political tools at our disposal, we have economic tools at our disposal. There are a number of different ways we could respond if Assad were to take that reckless, dangerous step.”

These reports could be startling, but many were saying that the last chemical attack was staged! Putin included if you read the previous article! Russia claimed there wasn't a single corpse found and that those injured were crisis actors. So will this escalate? If Assad releases these chemical weapons will the US retaliate, and will an agitated country attack the US in response? Many people thought so last time, but nothing happened, so it seems like only time will tell. Please post your comments in the replies section below.

You bet, the US will respond. I also seen another article today reporting that the US recently sent troops to Syria (I think it was 100 troops) to "send a message to Syria and Russia"...

I can't see why anyone would think it would be a good idea to make a gas attack on anyone...
