My Experience so far Beta Testing for Wildspark(Synereo)

in #synereo7 years ago

A few days ago I commented in a post that I was testing the new Synereo app, which will be released to the public next August 13. It is worth remembering that Synereo is a platform that seeks a common goal for Steemit: the massive adoption of decentralized social networks. In fact from the beginning both have received similar criticisms, such as being "Ponzi schemes", which are proving to be wrong.

Today I want to comment on 2 problems that the developers of Synereo are having along the way and that can serve as an example, since some of them are similar to those that we can face in Steemit.

Wildspark basically consists of an application with which you can invest in videos that you think are going to become viral or those you want to help promote. Once you do, you get a unique code to share. All people who come to the video from this code, if they invest in it, a part of the investment will go to the creator of the video and a part to you. So, the system looks a little like Steemit.

First problem:

The first problem has appeared when the app
usershave began to promote their videos on the Slack channel. Until that time the channel was a chat where people interacted and asked questions about the application. But at the moment when you could promote videos, the channel was flooded with a lot of links from those who wanted to promote their video in this way. Those who have been in steemit.chat know of what I'm talking about.

Second problem:

Another problem is the "disparity of success" that have the promoted videos. Many people complain that they are promoting their video and receive no votes and that it difficult for them to get followers. One possible explanation is that those who get votes, do so by attracting users from outside the platform. That is, they already have followers on Twitter, for example.

This can be read as a "weakness" because there will be users who have many followers and others that have very few, who can be discouraged and leave the platform. But on the other hand it is also a "strength", since it shows that more and more centralized social networks are interacting with decentralized social networks.
