The first thing that catches your eye when approaching St. Mark's Square in Venice is the clock tower. First you start to peer into an unusual dial, notice only one arrow. Then, if you're lucky, you hear the bell ringing and you see that the figure to the left beats off these sounds with a hammer. Then you just stand, looking up with fascination and listening ...
The clock then reminded the famous Prague clock in the city of the same name.
But still it's a different city, different culture, other architects.
It is a masterpiece of medieval watchmaking, located opposite the Venetian lagoon. The astronomical clock shows the time, the zodiac and the current lunar phase. Each last and every first minute of the hour is accompanied by a ringing of bells - on them you can check the accuracy of your own watches.
The time is shown with an interval of 5 minutes, that is, if now 32 minutes, they will show 30, when there will be 38, they will show 35, etc.
The clock on this tower is not just very beautiful, they show time and not only. It was very convenient to navigate through them, as, admiring the numerous sights, you completely forget that you need to return to the boat.

Oh Venice! Know exactly where that picture is taken, was there two summers ago with my girlfriend so remember that plaza very well where it is situated.
Beautiful city needless to say, we didn't go on the gondola trips sadly because it was so expensive, although it is a reason to come back ;)
