Carnival in Venice (Italy) - Dreams come true, see the carnival in Venice with your own eyes.
It so happened that the dates of the carnival in Venice coincided with our rest in Rome, and of course such an event could not be missed. Pre-booked the hotel there for two days, which was almost in St. Mark's Square, the price of course because of the carnival was twice as high as on normal days, but to see it all very much wanted. At once tickets for a comfortable train were bought, it was the most optimal option to get to Venice.
We arrived at the station at about noon, and decided to walk to the hotel, which was easy to do, because of the things there was only a small bag.
On the path of what we only masks and costumes have not seen enough, and people of all ages tried to be at least a little involved in the holiday. These are the characters we met.
And the most interesting has never met a recurring costume. All people are very friendly, and always agreed to take pictures and take different poses with pleasure. We unfortunately did not get there when the carnival was opened and closed, then all the parades and various processions, such as the water parade through the canals, the Mari festival, or the flight of the Angel, are more widespread. But from this our stay in Venice did not become less interesting. Because almost at every step only managed to time to capture more and more new costumes.
The atmosphere of the holiday was felt in everything. In St. Mark's Square, a wooden street theater is specially built, where performances are held.
Everyone can join the holiday by buying a mask. Friendly traders offered a wide selection of masks.
These days the city lives some kind of continuous unceasing holiday, there is a crossing of different centuries, around a huge number of smiles, bright costumes, there is a feeling of unreality. This carnival is inherent only in Venice, it is worth to visit there at least once, and memory and impressions will last a lifetime.
