The old district of Istanbul in Asian side - Kadikoy

Today we will take a walk in one of the old districts of Istanbul - Kadikoy. Last time we were in the European part of the neighborhood of Galata tower. Kadikoy is located in the Asian part of Istanbul. This area I call Bohemian. All very much like the Central quarter of Istanbul Fashion but I like all the streets of this administrative district.

The Fashion quarter can be rolled on a miniature tram number 20. The route consists of 10 stops. The whole journey takes 20 minutes. Be sure to take a ride, and then again walk all the way on foot. It's only 2.6 kilometers.

The famous Central railway station of Istanbul is also located in Kadikoy. It is called Haydarpasa. The Germans built it as a gift to Turkey in the early twentieth century. If you do not know that this station, you can think about some medieval castle or fortress. For a long time it has been under restoration. In addition the train station is naval station Haydarpasa and international cargo port.

Moving further along the old Bahariye street (General Asym Gunduz), you can see the monument to Ali Suavi. Often in silence, someone is sitting on a monument and reading a book. The alley was named after the writer and journalist Ali Suavi. It is very popular among creative people. Previously, this street has always been called the street of artisans. To this day, artists, sculptors and other creative people sell their works here.

In Kadikoy on the street Beharie is a very beautiful Assumption Catholic Church in Kilisesi. Anyone can visit it.

There are houses for dogs and cats on a large territory. They all enjoy life together. There is always food and water, even milk here bring. Dogs of Istanbul, similar to downed pigs. They are so thick that they do not make unnecessary movements. This is only possible in the direction of food.

In the alley, Caperea you can find a home here with these gates. It is a Museum in honor of the very famous Turkish musician and founder of Anatolian rock Barysh Mancho (1943-1999). He was loved by all Turkey. The man was of extraordinary kindness and talent. Mother of the Profits made the Museum in the house of the son. Even the car stands in a glass garage to this day.

Opposite the Museum is a small functioning Catholic Church.

We are already close to the waterfront of Kadikoy. Another beautiful and cozy cafe. Life rages. There are a lot of young people in Kadikoy. By the way, in the month of Ramadan, the locals live more at night than during the day. Therefore, you can safely move, sit in a cafe without a crowd of people. But when the sun goes down, all the cafes are full of hungry residents. In places they come whole families, then just can not find a place.

Park Fashion is very green and the air is sea and clean. There are play areas for children and several stadiums. Some tourists do not even plan to visit Kadikoy or the Asian part. Too bad. After the bustling European part should definitely come to the Waterfront in Kadıkoy.

We came at eight o'clock in the evening. Because of the post here is unusually deserted. We sat and enjoyed the views of the sea of Marmara.

Here is a beautiful view from the height of the Fashion Park. Then you can go down the stairs to the waterfront. It is especially great here to meet the sunrises and sunsets. In the Asian part of Kadikoy you feel the world of nature and the sea. In Uskudar, where the Maiden tower, you will not find so much green. The Bosphorus, of course, is beautiful, but the sea of marble and Kadikoy give their own, unique flavor of pleasure.
