Historical place in Belarus - Buinichi field

The Belarusian land is rich in history, and its people honor the memory of those who wrote it. After the events of the great Patriotic war, memorial complexes in memory of the deeds of Belarusian children were erected one by one in the territory of the Republic. This is a unique place, with unimaginable attraction and feeling. Buinichi field-one of the monuments of history, an area that has not bypassed the terrible events of the war.

The memorial is located in the East of Belarus, near the village Buinichi, just eight kilometers from Mogilev. In this region already from the early attacks of the fascist army began a fierce resistance. In the summer of 1941 soldiers of the 172nd division, 388 and 340 of the regiment-artillery regiment, with support of militia tried to repel the enemy forces and to close the passage of the German soldiers in the city. Railway channels from Mogilev to Zhlobin and Bobruisk were protected.

According to the plan of the Nazis to get to Mogilev was easier on the part of Bobruisk. That these roads were concentrated third tank, a few infantry units that were supported by artillery and aviation. Since the tenth of June, the positions of the Soviet troops were continuously shelled by the Germans. After a day on the field was already on the offensive more than seventy tanks. It was the hardest fourteen hours in the life of every Soviet soldier.

During the battle on the Buinichi field was burned thirty-nine units of armored machinery of the Nazis. The memorial complex Buinichi field, dedicated to the events of those difficult days, was opened in the Victory Day on ninth of may in 1995-m to year. And in 2002 it was recognized as a historical and cultural property of Belarus.

Its area near Buinichi agricultural town occupies almost twenty-two hectares. The architect of the majestic monument to the heroes of the war was Vladimir Chalenko.

The entrance to the complex was crowned by a large arcade. A little further are the avenues, one of which leads to the main element of the whole composition. This is a twenty-seven-meter chapel, where the remains of heroes-defenders of their land. The length of the wall object there are marble tiles on which they carved the names of the soldiers involved in the battle of Mogilev.

The project here also dug a lake of Tears, a symbol tribute to the grief of the mothers of those who fell from the effects of the great Patriotic war. A little further from the chapel there is a Museum of technology, some of these exhibits are unique.

One of the alleys of the memorial dedicated to the poet, who was an eyewitness to the events of the 13th and 14th of July. During the fierce fighting Konstantin Simonov acted as war correspondent of the newspaper "Izvestia", and the battle of Buinichi has become an event that is forever etched in his heart.

Shocked by the patriotism and heroism of the locals and soldiers, Simonov repeatedly tried to ensure that Mogilev was awarded the title of hero city.

He has been active, meeting with veterans, witnesses and participants in the battle. Later part of the event was clarified in his book "the Living and the dead." According to the will of the writer, after his death (1979), his ashes were scattered over The Buinichi field. A monument to the poet was opened the twenty-fifth of November, 1980. They set a boulder weighing fifteen tons with the will of the writer.
