In the city of Delhi, at the very foot of the village of Bagapur, stretched the most beautiful lotus. It is not just a flower, but a building of architectural value, a temple of huge dimensions, which in appearance looks like a flower that has just dissolved. The spectacle is incredible. The temple is made of white marble.

The doors of this temple are open to everyone, no matter what kind of religion a person has, the main thing is that a person who enters the temple does not carry negative thoughts with him. The halls of the temple are made in the form of lotus petals, in these halls there are always a lot of parishioners who are immersed in meditation, in harmony and in pacification.

To be in India and not to visit the Lotus temple? You will not be understood, dear friends, because this is the temple in India that is considered to be the most important among the Baha'is, this is a religion. It is the Baha'its who believe that there are many beliefs, but they are all united by one and the most important essence.

The structure of this temple was in 1986, although it might have appeared a little earlier, in 1976. For ten years everyone could not realize this idea in reality.

The distinctive feature of this temple is that the Baha'is have been commissioned to erect buildings without a single corner, everything in shape must be rounded and have facets. In this temple there are as many as nine facets. This is just a normal phenomenon for India, where there are no domes, for Baha'is it is not necessary. There are 9 corners-faces and here they just make sense.

This lotus was built on the means of a Baha'i follower, it was Ardishir Rustampur. It was he who sponsored the construction, and he also allocated a certain amount of money for the construction of a greenhouse in which plants are grown flowers and trees, these plantations adorn the park area around the entire temple.

The architect still managed to realize this whole idea and it turned out to be such a beautiful temple in form. This is the most ingenious decision, because the building has a rounded shape. Probably, therefore, the construction itself was postponed for a long ten years. In total there are twenty-seven petals, three petals are connected in one form and resemble a nine-cornered one.

By the way in India, the lotus symbolizes the life of the entire universe, from the world to man. No angles, only symmetry, which symbolizes in India the movement on the Wheel of Samsara, that is, simply put, the movement through life from rebirth to rebirth of the soul.

All the doors, and they are in the temple 9, also have a symbol, India is generally a country of symbols. So these doors symbolize the nine religions of the whole world. And each of the doors leads to the center, where there is a hall of enormous height, as much as forty meters.

The complex itself is created from the inside in such a way that you can feel yourself in the middle of the lotus, around it there are gardens and swimming pools. Being inside the temple, an illusion is created, as if the lotus grows out of the water.

In the holy texts of the Bahá'ís it is stated that the walls of the temple should not be painted not in the middle, not from the outside. There are no decorations and other things, there is only water and benches so that people can sit down.

The idea of a temple in the form of a sacred lotus is read immediately. After all, in fact a person coming to this world is originally pure and naked, it only then he acquires worldly goods, overgrown with material values and so on. But regarding faith ... Spiritual value is acquired by people not at once.
