The holidays are upon us and it's important to figure out ways to turn the steem we earn on the platform to things that manifest in the real world. One of the best ways to do this is to facilitate trade. While there are great solutions out there like paywithsteem.com you now have a new option!

The Swap

The Minnow Support Project is opening a text channel within PALnet for the sole purpose of trading Steem for other things. It's called "The Swap." Anything you would like to sell you can put up in there. Take a picture and put up a starting price in USD. No USD will actually be traded. The rule is that you have to trade things for Steem. Check and see if anyone is interested in your stuff.

Amazon Gift Cards

One of the fastest ways to turn fiat into Crypto is the trading of Amazon gift cards. We're not going to directly sell these, but here's a good process.

Step 1. Announce you would like to sell an Amazon Gift Card state the amount in USD
Step 2. Someone DMs you
Step 3 (optional). Sign a contract on the block
Step 4. If you trust them you send them the Amazon Gift Card via email
Step 5. They send you the Steem upon receipt

Be careful who you trade with. We don't take any responsibility here. We'll look into ways of establishing more trust, but for now stick with friends and high rep accounts that have more to lose by stiffing you.
