"Ostrich South". An ostrich's farm and a zoo in the city of Melitopol.

Few years ago, if to be exact, in 2013, we happened to visit all family the interesting place, on an ostrich's farm under the name "Ostrich South". I probably would also get never to this city, but it is good that at school where my child studies bus excursions on zoos of Ukraine have been organized. And I as control of children have gone with school students what I am not sorry about.

Here in the city of Melitopol (The Zaporizhia region) there is the largest in Ukraine an ostrich's farm and a zoo. Tickets can be acquired absolutely freely. I won't call the price because every year it changes.

This farm in 2002 in the shabby building of the Soviet farm has been based. The building was reconstructed, strengthened, improved. Today on a farm breed black African ostriches, ordinary ostriches, are engaged in production and trade in meat, ostrich's skin, eggs and also feathers and souvenirs from these birds.
Part of young baby birds sell too. Production from ostriches is exported abroad and is on sale within the country.

Birds very beautiful, each visitor can be photographed, look at these animals and also visit a zoo.

In a zoo the number of animals changes every year, certain forms are taken, at that time we saw such animals:

wolf, fox, raccoon, lions,

antelope, pony, lama, horse, donkeys, fallow deer,

pelicans, swans white and black, ducks, pheasants, peacocks,

decorative small fishes in artificial rates with lilies.

Ostrich's farm this excellent place where it will be interesting not only to children, but also adults. Mozhnol to get a forage in a booth for animals and to feed them, but only not predators. In the territory of a zoo and a farm there is a playground, it is possible to make a photo for memory or to drive on a donkey, a pony, a horse. There is an arbor where it is possible to have a rest. Tours on a farm are conducted by groups or individually to whom as it is convenient.
