RE: Secret Deals Have Google Tracking 70% of Credit and Debit Card Data

Great reporting, irritating news.

For PC users, your Web and App Activity can be located by

  1. Launching https://myactivity.google.com/myactivity
  2. Then select Activity Controls from the left panel
  3. Click the slider and confirm that you wish to PAUSE
  4. Web & App Activity (Paused) will then show on that page

Do you have a Minds.com account, @krnel? I think this info needs to get on that platform too. I'll link direct to this page from my account there and muster a graphic, but it won't be as good as having the full post there. You can add the PC instructions in this comment to your post, if you like.

Thank you for the instructions. Very helpful. I guess I should start posting on minds too hehe.

Oh, I think you should. It's quite a nice platform, with large-format image/video display and messenger for private discussions. Video, blog, newsfeed and groups are integrated, so you can write a blog post, announce it in newsfeed and groups. If you're a vlogger, then you can manage your own videos all in one place, Minds.com. And the Minds token is based off of the Etherium, a third generation cryptocurrency. Apparently, a lot of the faults in first and second generation cryptocurrency have been eliminated in third generation. Can't say much about that, but it sounds like a plus. To be sure, the value of Etherium is much higher than Steem. I've been listening to conversation between larger account holders as they brainstorm ways to improve the value of the Steem currency. They're sounding a bit desperate. Seems to me that a currency that fluctuates between $10 and less than $1 in 2 years is not stable. More Steem is minted every day, so devaluation should be expected. The losers are those who bought a lot of Steem at high prices, expecting the value would increase. The Steem economy is devoid of inflation, based on CPI/COL, so not even inflation can hide the devaluation of this currency! That said, I do think you should diversify your revenue streams by posting to Minds.com too.

I've also started using SteemPeak.com. It runs off the Steem blockchain, but the interface is far more useful. There are performance graphs, the ability to write drafts and schedule publishing. You can also filter out resteems, to see just your own posts and the post listing page has a large-format image/video display like Minds', rather than the thumbnail that Steemit displays. It has a Dashboard and Notification, so you know if you have a reply, or a payout is waiting for you. All your Steemit posts will show up in SteemPeak.com and visa versa.
