Many people think that long distance relationships are never going to work out. They say, it is so hard. You will sacrifice a lot, no single day that you will not experience from pouring your tears. Your family may discourage it, and some of your best friends may advise you not to take it too seriously, in case you get your heart broken.

It is so tough — the extra distance makes many things unachievable. It is so difficult, as I say. Things could get complicated, and you could get sad and lonely at times. However, the extra distance also makes the simplest things the sweetest, being able to hold the other person’s hand, eating together at the same table, feeling each other’s touch, taking a walk together, smelling each other’s hair… these small wishes could suddenly mean so much more in a long distance relationship.

To keep your love alive and strong, here are the some tips to make your long distance relationship work:

Avoid excessive communication.
It is not necessary to talk like 24/7 to keep your relation going. Most of the couple think that they need to compensate the distance by communicating every minute. I guess, its a big NO NO. Remember: Less is More. It’s really about teasing at the right moments and tugging at the right spots.

See it as an opportunity.

Set some ground rules to manage your expectations.
You need to clarify things and better set ground rules for you to have a fair relationship with your partner.

Make a plan ahead of time. You need to plan for your future together. Not just doing it alone. You need to hear your partners decisions to avoid conflicts.
