#ulog: BELL CHURCH- A Must-Visited Place In La Trinidad, Benguet
It's countless times that I’ve been roaming around the city of Baguio. I have shared you a lot of exciting things and places here and I assure you there are many more to share. The BELL CHURCH is just one it. It is one of the must-visited places here in the Philippines, I suppose. Why is that so? Well, let me show you my photography of the place yesterday. I have made a video of it that I had uploaded through dtube and you can watch it HERE but you can also see the pictures below.
To start a visit of the place, this arc of boundary between Baguio City and La Trinidad is the landmark where you can stop.

It is so easy to locate the the Bell Church since there is a poster along the highway.

After a meter away from the main road, here it is! The gate of the church premises. As a Buddhist Temple, the designs are created the way it should meant to be. There are sculptures of dragons at the gate and at the both sides of the lane.
The main gate
At the staircase to the church, I noticed a lot of Hanzi or the so-called han characters writen at the upper side of the wall.HANZI is the writing system of the Chinese people.

Aside from the dragons, there are also sculpted lions. Accordingly, they serves as the guardians.

There are gardens, pagodas, bells, and other Chinese designs just outside the church. If without the visitors spending time roaming around, the place was so great!
The Bell Church founder
The Church is situated along mountain side.
There were two octagon ponds with lotuses established in front of the temple.
The white lotus flower is believed to be a symblo of purity in spirit and in mind.

Well, the Bell Church was proclaimed as a major tourist destination since the 1970's by the Government of La Trinidad, Benguet and of course Baguio City. From then on, tourists from all around the world are visiting the place. Good thing is that tourists are observant enough to minimize their noise within the church premises as a respect to the solemness of the place.
Brief History Of The Bell Church
During the 4th day of August, 1996, Chinese immigrants led by Ng Pee from Guangzhou formerly known as Canton, China founded the Bell Church here in La Trinidad, Benguet. The temple serves a worship area for the devotees both chinese and the filipinos. There is also an area where instructors teaches martial arts and lion/dragon dances.
Bell church is free for a visit and is open everyday. Taking of photos is allowed but not inside the temple as a respect to the sacredness of the place.
Feel free to visit the place if you are in Baguio City which is just few meters/kilometers away from other sites like burnham park, stobosa (valley of colors), strawberry farms and more.
