It has just been a crazy last 24 hours. And apparently, the situation with the surgery has changed. But first, let me give you a little background info if you don't already know what is going on.

Well, if you don't already know what is happening, I will give you a brief run down of the situation + any changes.

Yesterday, our dog Jake has been having some issues. He was having a lot of bowel movements, yet couldn't squeeze anything out. He tried to poop, but couldn't squeeze out much and was puking everywhere. We walked them and then went out to go fishing, and we came back and there was puke everywhere and his anal gland was swelled up and looked like a donut.

When we came back, we knew something was immediately wrong. So we took him to an close by emergency vet and they did an analysis, gave him painkillers, and gave him a catheter. That's what they did of course after they told us what was wrong. It turns out he has a rectal hernia. And his bladder is blocked by a hernia, so they need to catheterize him so he can release urine otherwise it could end up bad. After that, things ended up costing over $800, which wasn't expected because they told us it was going to be less than that to get the basic procedures done. But if you don't already know, he stills needs surgery.

They said he needed emergency surgery that night or early morning and we had to transfer him to the surgeon. Now Jake is currently staying at the vet over night and will probably be there for 3 days, at least they estimate. They gave a ballpark for the surgery to be 3k to 5k, but now it's anywhere from 6k to 8k. Funny how they like to change their prices. I swear the medical industry is such a scam, but it's not like we have any other choice.
