As expected SCOTUS has ruled 9-0 that Trump can't be removed from the ballot under Section 3 of the 14th amendment.

A 5-4 majority says Section 3 enforcement on federal offices is the role of Congress not the states.

Also interesting that they brought up the chaos that would ensue if different states removed a president from the ballot and others kept them. Kinda rich they care about chaos in this instance, but not in say resolving whether a presidential candidate is a criminal before we vote or regarding abortion rights.

Kinda odd too as the Constitution grants states the ability to conduct and regulate presidential elections. They sort of just handwaved this away in the decision. States have removed federal candidates that were ineligible due to not being natural born citizens.

Also as expected they punted on the substantive question of if Trump engaged in insurrection. But that was always going to be the case.
