Osborne was third coming out of first turn so he can't blame bad start. He just didn't have the pace that night, or the track didn't work for him. Commentators mentioned how tricky the timing was on dragon-back. Misjudge those things and lose a lot of time. Supercross is won / lost in fractions of a second per lap on many nights.
About Dungey vs Tomac... Tomac is just faster IMO and not having issues. It's possible Dungey really isn't full speed since last year's back injury. If Roczen were healthy, this thing would be over already--so at least this way, we get some great points drama and hard racing. Get yer popcorn boys!
Yeah Tomac has always been a mega fast rider as he can ride outside most people comfort zones. I would say +10% outside the safe range to ride a lot of laps at... Dungey on the other hand is 'usually' lethal on his starts and then rides at 98% to perfection with 0 mistakes. The real difference i think has that Eli has found something in his starts and then can just blast off without having to cut the pack. This means he can let off a bit in the latter parts of the races and save pushing himself past the safe zone.
I actually like both riders and want this one to go down to the wire! Firstly because its good for the sport and secondly because i have a ticket to the final in Vegas!!! I'm traveling from the UK to my first ever Supercross event!! Cant wait!!! :D
