Injury Update - Malcolm Stewart

Hi Steemers,

The main story of the night was the red flag in the 450 Main Event during this weekends Monster Energy Supercross in Glendale. The main was flagged because of a horror slam by SmarTop/Bullfrog Spas/MotoConcepts/Honda rider Malcolm Stewart. Stewart has been riding the best of his career so far this season and was a genuine contender for the podium. However, a mistake in the whoops saw his back wheel miss the top and throw him off balance which resulted in him losing control as he exited the section and was slammed down hard.

The alpinestar medical crew were straight on the scene but it was too dangerous to remove the rider with the race still in motion so the main was red flagged and a staggered start was set up.

Stewart was removed from the track on the back of the medical mule and was fully aware of his surroundings and even managed a wave to the crowd. News today has confirmed that he suffered a broken femur and will undergo corrective surgery today. Details are thin on the ground currently but as always i will keep you guys up to date as and when i know.
