Sun Thursday at the Jacks Fork River
Here in the Missouri Ozarks, we spend a lot of time at the river kayaking/canoeing, fishing, hiking, camping, swimming and just hanging out! Thousands of tourists flock to the Jacks Fork every summer to engage in activities that we get to partake in pretty much any time we want! ;) Summertime is one of the best times to be on the Jacks!!!
About 11 or 12 years ago, my sister starting doing a yearly float trip for her birthday in June. From there, it turned into a yearly tradition and somewhat of a reunion trip for all of us that have gone separate ways but have still remained friends over the years :)
Here are a few photos from the end of a float trip and the beginning of a camping trip last summer:
Our friend Kyle, catching his breath and preparing to jump from the underside of the bridge into the river
A different view of the bridge, where other nature-lovers leisurely float by
And part of our group's camp after a beautiful day on the river
Ahhhhh, just looking at these photos is making me yearn for summer! But until then, we'll just continue to enjoy our beloved river in the cold and that's perfectly fine! It just makes me appreciate the summer months even more ;)
All photos were taken from our Go-Pro.
Thanks for checking it out!
