In the Boracay Island, Philippines, the Sun Sets Beautifully

Let there be light, and there was light. It was called a day. 

But there was also night: as the sun provides light in certain parts of the Earth, darkness consumes the other areas. Time goes by and one place experiences both the light and the darkness. 

Transitioning from day to night, the light hides behind the horizon. A cyclic event happening almost every 24 hours, the sunset is almost always a soothing sight to see.

In the Boracay Island in Malay, Aklan in the Philippines, the view at around 6pm in the beach front provides quite an emotion – watching the sun go down is a form of relaxation.

I have personally witnessed the view during my visit last weekend. Arriving Friday late afternoon, I roamed around the beachfront and stayed there to check out what they say is one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world.

Obviously, that did not disappoint. Just look at the colors of the sky right after the sun has set. The photos in this post were taken using my Samsung Galaxy S8 – no need for filters.  

One can appreciate such a magnificent wonder of nature while sitting down on the white sands of Boracay. The sun temporarily bid goodbye to the tourists and locals in the most beautiful way possible.

Here is me under that orange sky. 

I thought that it might only be a unique event – occurring rarely – and that the sunset is not like that everyday.

In my 2-day vacation in the island, while I spent most of my time basking in the sun, I stayed in the beachfront at around 6pm to witness another sunset. And that is where I confirmed the rumor – one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world can be found in Boracay. 

Wandering along the shoreline under that yellow sky, I came across this engaged Korean couple having a wedding pictorial under the sunset. Needless to say that it is a money shot.

The sun was its end, but preparing to show up again later. No matter, at the time I saw it rested I said to myself, “What a beautiful day.”
