Sunset by the Beach

This picture was taken during sunset at Shalala Beach resort in Olango Island. To travel to the place, you will need to first go to Lapu-Lapu in Cebu and ride a ferry. The usual ferries being used to travel to this place are those near the Hilton Hotel in Lapu-Lapu. The ferry travels to Santa Rosa in Olango Island in about 20-30 minutes. From Santa Rosa, you can ride a tricycle or pedicab to Shalala Beach resort. The resort is surrounded by Mangrove trees as you can see in the picture. Most people usually do kayaking in this place, others stay at the beachside, play beach volleyball or do “inuman sessions” (drinking sessions) whilst singing and playing the guitar. Some people take a walk by the beach side or just stay and watch the sunset. This place is perfect for when you are with friends or family. The place isn’t luxurious, but having fun with family and friends is more important than going to a luxurious place.
