Stubbornness is a personality trait in which someone refuses to change his/her opinion about a situation or refuses to change his/her mind about the action that he has decided to take. A stubborn person sometimes has a strong resistance to change, irrespective of the personality or genuineness of the position of the person inflicting the change on him/her. A stubborn person has the attitude of “No I won’t, and you can’t make me”, “That cannot be possible”, or at times maintaining dead silence when instruction or advice is being given. While stubbornness has helped some to succeed, it has also cost some their livelihood and even many homes have become sour just because either of the spouse will just never yield to advice. Stubbornness cost Adam and Eve comfort, immortality and communion with God; Lot’s wife became a pillar of salt and King Saul lost his throne to David because of stubbornness.
