Sunday Scent Experience - Aroma of Kumquat

Today is #SundayScentExperience !!!! I already told you about an amazing little fruit of kumquat. Today I want to say a few words about his fragrance.
In a broad sense, it is a citrus, but it belongs to a separate genus Fortunella of the Route family. During flowering, the tree spreads an amazing aroma with citrus notes. Quite often, first you feel the fragrance, and on it you already find the plant itself :)
I did not know that there is essential oil of kumquat, which is actively used in aromatherapy for respiratory diseases. Inhalations with this oil or dried kumquat peel are effective for dry cough, bronchitis, and angina.
Orange fruits can help overcome fatigue, give strength to a person and increase emotional sensitivity. Therefore, essential oil of kumquat is recommended for nervous disorders, apathy, depressive states.
In winter, this essential oil is especially important in view of winter spleen and the spread of viral diseases.

I have never smelled the oil! On cyprus they make a nice liqour out of it and i have a bottle of those at home - very tasty!

I have to tell you that I've been trying to plant kumquat from a seed. Now I have two small plants .... Soon I will put their photos, but I also need experience in cultivation.
