2 pounds of basil!

Any ideas what to do with it all? I used a pound or so to make pesto and now have enough pesto to last for an eternity. I froze some, and I still have probably a half pound left.I am sitting here sipping a cup of lemon and basil tea. I think it may be time to share! But in the meantime my house smells heavenly!
Holy moly that's a lot of basil!! Great harvest! Make more pesto with different flavors!! Maybe do one with other herbs kind of like a chimmichurri you could use as a marinade- maybe some balsamic and onion?? Hmm...your problem is not a bad one to have :)
I made some with walnuts and asiago, and some with pinenuts and parmesan, and some with lemon peel. I ended up sharing some with a friend. I suspect I may have more in Fridays CSA box...a managable amount. I like your marinade idea.

Basil tea - it uses a bug bunch and the taste and benefits are amazing. It is really good for you to drink this every day! it is anti - inflammatory, anti - bacterial and anti - microbial also help with depression - high in antioxidants too so excellent for clear skin .
I did make tea. It's great with lemon. I do love fresh herbs teas!
.. We grow it in the garden too, but never this much. Tell us your growing secrets!
This came from my local CSA farm. They had a bumper crop this year and shared it with subscribers!
I bet you will be putting basil in every single thing! LOL! My SIL is Italian and uses fresh basil a lot for her delicious meals. At least your house smells good. :)

STOPHa ha ha so many basil! Great! I have a plant in my kitchen- for smell purpose mainly though i ove these leaves, you can also put them in salads.
