[Suggestion] Follower Notifications
I am not sure if this has been brought up before on github (as I registered yesterday first and am trying to learn how to use it properly for information) but not having this function is only hindering the connection between users for no apparent reason.
Just something I would personally like to see and I'm sure others would find of good use as well.
Show a notification, maybe green when you get a new follower or red if you lose one.
then if you click there it shows a history of your followers combined with a button to follow them back or unfollow or mute.
About the part of thinking "is it wise to show who unfollowed you, wouldn't it cause less unnecessary drama if it wasn't shown?"
In my opinion it should be etiquette not to ask/care if/why someone unfollowed you, since it in a way puts pressure on users who want to feel free to follow others with hindsight that they might change their mind somewhere along the road (or should I say "somewhere on the chain")
But yeah, let me know what you think about this implementation.

I like the idea, but also maybe a bit of order to the followers list, on eSteem android app they are in alphabetical order. maybe a way to sort out the ones I have followed from the ones I have not since I tend to follow everyone who follows me.
I agree, I've mentioned it before in a post that the lists order is a complete mystery to me. :P
I still haven't checked out eSteem, I should do so soon!
I like eSteem for curating, I don't dare try to post from it, I do much better on my computer. Otherwise I think it is an awesome app.
Being able to order the follower list would indeed be great!
It sounds like a good idea. I was also thinking we need a search window specifically to look up a person by their username. An index of our followers.
And why is it when you drop down the list of people who upvoted your post, it says "and XX others"? Why not just show us the entire list of people who upvoted?

It only shows the ones with the highest SP first I believe.
But I cannot figure out how to scroll down the list.
For more details you can check the post out at www.steemd.com/@username and if you click on the posts link you'll find (vote details) where it shows with more details, the time, vote % and order.
I think it's coming, but not a high priority.
I opened issues for Reblog notifications, and general notifications on things you want to follow, like other posts to be aware of comments on posts you want to be aware of activity.

Yeah, I follow everyone who follows me, partly because it's polite, partly because that way there is a signal (the unchanged follow button) of who as recently followed me.

This is a great idea! As of now I just use Steemdb, but it would be nice to have it all in one place.
Another suggestion would be to recieve a notification when people mention you in their post or comment. So say I put your name like this "@acidyo" in my post, you would be notified. I've stumbled across my name in people's post by accident on numerous occasions...usually a day late.haha
