A sudden flood in Indonesia's Papua, 50 people died, dozens missing

At least 50 people have died due to heavy rains after heavy rains in Indonesia's Eastern Province Papua. Many people are being told missing. In the area, there is a ruckus. The local official informed about this.

The official said that in many villages of the city's Jayapura district on Saturday, there was flooding in torrential rains at 6 o'clock in the evening. At least 59 people were seriously injured in this accident.

Corrie Simbolon, the head of the emergency unit of the Disaster Management Agency, said that dozens of homes, buildings, bridges and floods have suffered substantial damage. This has left around 3,000 people homeless. Local people have to be kept in relief camps along with them to safer places. There is a huge loss of life and property in this disaster. Symbolone pointed out that due to landslides the river's water flow was interrupted. This caused soil erosion and caused a sudden flood.

National Disaster Agency spokesman Sutopo Purbo Nugroho said, "Relief and rescue work is in progress at the moment." The number of dead and injured can increase. Rescuers are still trying to reach flood affected areas. Rescue teams are unable to reach all affected areas due to fall trees, rocks and mud.

Explain that such a natural disaster in Indonesia is a major loss every year. Hundreds of people died in this flood in January this year. This month, the Java earthquake sent people to other places. Rainy season in Indonesia lasts from October to April and during this time there is heavy rains.
