Couldn't agree more. My work on in advising companies allows me to see both sides of the coin.
On the one hand, there are startups with often brilliant ideas - problem is that they're often too early. The odd one will smash it out of the park. The majority fail.
On the other side, I see traditional (some might say 'boring') businesses that the founder has been pounding at for years. They are more frequently highly profitable and enduring.
