Are You Obsessed or Average?
Hello my friend Aaron Gendle here, your Live Big Coach.
I'm here to help you live a big life!
I'm so excited right now.
Because ...
I'm going to be sharing with you my top 7 take away is from Grant Cardone’s book,
Be Obsessed or Be Average.
Now, Grant is a New York Times bestselling author and the king of sales.
I have become obsessed with his content.
Go and check Grant out on Facebook. He does tons of live streams and gives away incredible information for free.
Now before jump in, here is a link to Grant’s book …
1. Become Obsessed
This book obviously about being obsessed.
Being obsessed in your life and being okay with being obsessed, because all the people that have succeeded in life have been obsessed about one thing or another.
You can't succeed without being obsessed, right?
2. Let Your Passion Become Your Obsession
If you're asking yourself, what do I become obsessed about?
The answer, whatever you're passionate about.
What are you excited about right now?
What would you do for no money at all?
What do you find yourself doing and skipping meals because you just forget about time. Because you're so into that thing?
What do people say you are good at?
Lastly, what do you want to be remembered for? What do you want your legacy to be?
Hopefully, if you ask yourself these five questions, it will help you to find what you should become obsessed about.
3. Feed Your Obsession and Starve Your Doubt
Whatever you become obsessed over, you can't just start something and stop and give it up for a couple weeks then start again.
No. You have to put action towards accomplishing or working towards that obsession for weeks and months. You got to keep feeding “Feeding the Beast” as grant says.
One thing that pops up in our lives that keeps us from “Feeding the Beast”, is doubt.
You have to starve the doubt.
How?
By taking action. When you get afraid or feel doubt creeping in, just take action and that doubt and fear will go away.
4. Dominate Your Life
All of us have something in our lives that holds us from being successful…
Sleeping in too late or staying up too late at night.
Watching too much TV or drinking too much on the weekends.
I think each of us knows what those things are and if you want to succeed, take control of those things.
Take control of your life.
5. Be Dangerous
Let's face it, tomorrow is not guaranteed. We don't know what tomorrow has in store for us.
Grant Cardone talks a lot about being dangerous.
Just playing it safe is not the answer.
I you want to live an exciting life, if you want to succeed, then you need to be dangerous.
6. Surround Yourself with the Best
Now, Grant is the king of a sales and speaks a lot in the context of being an entrepreneur.
But, this idea applies whether or not you run a business or not.
As Jim Rohn said …
"You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with."
-Jim Rohn
Who are you spending your time with?
If it's not the people that have the best intentions for you have best advice. If it’s not people who are already successful. Then you got to evaluate who you spending your time with.
7. Refuse to Quit
Look at all the amazing, successful people in this world that refused to quit.
Colonel Sanders, when he started KFC, was rejected over a thousand times before someone said yes to his amazing chicken recipe.
Or what about Walt Disney, Walt Disney was rejected by over 300 Bankers before one of them said yes to his idea of Mickey Mouse.
So to be successful, you cannot quit.
Take Action, Live a Big Life
I hope these seven tips have been impactful for you today.
If you would, go out and take action with one or all of these today, wherever you are at in your life’s journey.
Go and live a BIG LIFE!

Hello & Cheers!! I'm a content detection and information bot. You are receiving this reply because a short link or links have been detected in your post/comment. The purpose of this message is to inform your readers and yourself about the use of and dangers of short links.
To the readers of the post: Short links are provided by url shortening services. The short links they provide can be useful in some cases. Generally their use is benign. But as with all useful tools there are dangers. Short links can be used to hide all sorts of things. Quite frequently they are used to hide referral links for instance. While not dangerous this can be deceptive. They can also be used to hide dangerous links such as links to phishing sites, sites loaded with malware, scam sites, etc. You should always be extremely cautious before clicking on one. If you don't know and trust the poster don't click. Even if you do you should still be cautious and wary of any site you are sent to. It's always better to visit the site directly and not through a short link.
To the author of the post: While short links may be useful on some sites they are not needed on steemit. You can use markdown to format your links such as this link to steemit. It's as simple as
[steemit](https://steemit.com)
Unlike short links this allows the reader to see where they are going by simply hovering over the link before they click on it.
