My random thoughts (2) ; Being ahead of others.

For many the actual unannounced definition of success is “being ahead of others”. If you asked someone what success is, he would vaguely reply “to achieve what one wants”. But does it rally work like that? Can you simply feel satisfied after getting what you want- of course, if what you want is not being ahead of others”-?

For the most part it is no, people won’t stop wanting more after achieving what they wanted in the first place, specially if what they wanted was money, fame, or power because these goals are universal and doesn’t reflect the uniqueness and individuality of each one, so no matter how much you have already achieved of them you would continually seek more.

But when your definition of success is specific, and arises directly from your heart such as writing your own novel, solving scientific dilemma, founding a company that offers support for young innovators, or even having a family the answer is yes as long as you don’t care how far you have reached in comparison with someone else.
