Subway Russian dogs travelers
Dogs are considered to be one of the smartest animal species on the Earth, but stray dogs in Moscow, Russia, have truly impressed scientists by routinely walking through the subway.
Every day, dogs living on the outskirts of the capital take the subway to the city center, the best place to find food.
During the Soviet era, dogs were fleeing from subway stations, and restaurants and fast-food stalls were scarce throughout Moscow, so dogs had no reason to venture through the city. Most dogs preferred to live in the industrial areas of the city, where they found food in the garbage dump or whatever they were throwing the laborers.
But after the fall of the USSR, the situation has changed radically: their “houses” on the outskirts of the city have been replaced with shopping centers and apartments, while fast food restaurants and fast-food stalls have been rapidly growing in the center.
Some time ago the Cacao press was talking to the dog walking the bus. It does not appear to be the only dog that prefers to use public transport.
While the food was abundant in the center of Moscow, the dogs still lived in the suburbs, so they needed a way to get to the food and the evening to come back.
The best way was the subway. Being welcome to the metro stations, they noticed they could take the train to the center.
Some experts say some dogs have learned to work in teams to make sure they get down there by measuring the amount of time they spend on the train.
Dogs usually choose the least crowded carriages, and if they find empty places, they can pull a nap to their destination. Others smell the people’s legs or put their nose in the palms of their children and stare long into their eyes, asking for food.
Once they arrive at your destination, dogs use all sorts of tactics to find food.
Some people spend the whole day in front of the butcher waiting for someone to throw a bone, while others bark to people in hopes of giving them a knife.
In the evening, the dogs climb back to the subway, and come back to their suburban homes, and the next day I take it over.
