Sublime Sunday! Hiking with the kids!
I love just heading out in the bush behind my house, it’s a nice mix with a bit of mountains, swamps and dense bush.
Standard Northern Ontario bush!
My daughter loves being barefoot, so when we stopped for a break she decided to of course strip off her socks and shoes, and when dad suggested she put them back on of course her brother had to follow.
This is when I suggested they where both some sort of new age, barefoot meditation gurus or something and my son decides to strike up this pose!
It was such a fun little moment hanging out in the bush on a bit of a mountain with the kids!

I just feel so blessed to have this amazing landscape in my own backyard.
We had to navigate through the bush to find just the right spot so we also flagged the best trail while it was early spring and the underbrush hadn’t totally grew in yet.
We already have a trail to a lower lookout, with a few old chairs, but this higher one is much more spectacular!

Man I wish I still had the tough feet I had when I was a kid! I used to be able to run barefoot down our gravel driveway, now a stray pebble will bring me unstuck :/
