The Flat-earth theory is ludicrous! How can people believe in this shit in the 21st century??
I believe since the 15th century everybody knows that the earth is a globe and not flat.
How can it be that more and more educated people come out and say that they have seen the light and that the earth is flat, not round??
I mean, I could understand if some cave men would think that... but some educated people?? They do a lot of harm to everybody who does not believe the entire official narrative. To people who are mainstream truthers will be seen as crazy people. And they will not bother in looking at some of the other issues they care for...

So everybody check twice before adhering to this stupid nonsense! You will be considered crazy and be ignored! I heard stuff like you cannot fly from A to B directly without flying to C... I think it was from South Africa to Australia or something like that and I could disprove it directly with flightradar24.com. Where you can see the route and time to destination and even the flight in realtime, with the history of the last 20 flights. Disproving the flat-earth shit directly...
But there might be advantages to saying that you are a flat earther
Yep, if you want to collect welfare just tell any possible employer that you believe the earth is flat, and they or sure will not hire you. In many countries you cannot reject directly some work you do not like, without getting cut your benefits. But if you are really crazy they cannot do anything...
But beyond that... my suggestion is: keep it sane and do not believe in this crap if you do not want to discredit yourself...

I read about it which is in 2010, its American-born but England-based new president, Daniel Shenton, gave an interview to the Guardian in which he spoke about keeping Johnson’s message alive in the 21st century. Unlike his predecessors, he believes in global warming and evolution. But the shape of the Earth ... not so much:
The Earth is flat, he argues, because it appears flat. The sun and moon are spherical, but much smaller than mainstream science says, and they rotate around a plane of the Earth, because they appear to do so.
Inevitably, Shenton’s argument forces him down all kinds of logical blind alleys – the non-existence of gravity, and his argument that most space exploration, and so the moon landings, are faked. But, while many flat Earthers have problems with the idea of orbiting satellites, Shenton navigates the London streets using GPS. He was also happy to fly from the US to Britain, but says an aircraft that flew over the Antarctic barrier would drop from the sky, and from the planet.
Nice background info... yeah... flat-earthers a re really not consistent...
In my opinion the main reason people are so willing to believe in the flat earth conspiracy is that they feel like most things they have ever been told in their lives are lies (which in a lot of cases is true), and because of that EVERYTHING they have been told must be a lie. Basically they bring the distrust in what they have been told to know to another level and because of this no matter what they are told they assume off the bat it is not true.
People need to learn to use judgement on each individual topic as its own thing... just because 1 thing is a lie doesn't mean that everything is a lie.

This is exactly my impression as well... there are so many lies out there that at some point one is tempted to think that everything is a lie...
Agreed, and that ignorant thought process is a huge mistake people are making... people need to learn to use logical judgement for each individual topic instead of forming a universal thought process across them all. Sadly most people today completely lack all critical thinking skills (as many are thought in school to regurgitate information back at the teacher instead of thinking for themselves, a method which then follows them through their entire adult life), which doesn't bode well for the future...
Also I wonder what the flat earth people have to say about solar eclipses? Any idea what bullshit theory they toss to try to explain that one away?
Yep... and we see this in miniature with these small influencers like Jeff... the effect is also there when politicians spread things which are not true... their followers regurgitate stupid shit as well... like: the economy is great... minimum wage helps people... and so on... it is really like if they were at school... although 40 years ago there still were students who were able to think for themselves... today... hmmm... I think it has become much worse...
my suggestion is: keep it sane and do not believe in this crap if you do not want to discredit yourself...
