That they should, but maybe also the ones in charges should sometimes look abit past the mirror they've been staring in since dawn to compliment themselves how good that tie looks they used to give that latest speech :)
its probably fubar but with a bit o luck not completely within this generation so if you dont have kids you can just sit it out.
entropy is a core mechanic of the universe ... add to that the indescribable ability of humans to increase it by magnitudes beyond omega without even trying (or maybe just "by" trying when they think they're countering it, which isnt possible at all in the long run you have to work with it.
The biggest riddle is how they lasted this long but here we are all metafysical after breakfast

Highly likely they don't care, from their perspective they probably think we even enjoy it.
Because of so many ideologies it's likely fubar the only solution would be to have many different ways of living like many many governments, but that would probably end up in more wars.
With entropy being a core mechanic of the universe that definitely explains a lot about the humans behaviour and even more so why these societies are fubar.
