The education system of Canada is globally recognised because of its industry-oriented curriculum, hi-tech mode of learning, high faculty to student ratio and other aspects. Some of the scholarships are Aga Khan Academy Renewable Scholarship and International Entrance Scholarships offered by the University of Victoria to academically outshining students for UG courses.

The University of Guelph facilitates scholarship scheme called Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED) for students coming from ASEAN countries. The amount offered at an undergraduate and postgraduate level under this scheme ranges from CAD 10,200 to CAD 15,900 depending upon the academic tenure.

  • Mathematics International Elite Awards and Mathematics International Excellence Awards offered by the University of Waterloo exclusively to the Indian students pursuing masters in Mathematics.
  • International Master's and Doctoral Student Awards is offered to international graduate students, again by the University of Waterloo.
  • NYIT Scholarships is provided by the New York Institute of Technology to scholars.

Students need not apply separately for the scholarships. The application of admission is automatically screened for the scholarships based on the eligibility criteria.

International students can also manage expenditures by working part-time and joining internship programs. You can choose to do co-ops and internships. Co-ops are mostly paid and fulltime for a longer duration. Not all internships are paid but some help you earn academic credits. Internships are a good way to get trained on industry-oriented projects which is an add on to your resume.
