Appendicitis
Inflammation of the vermiform appendix is known as appendicitis.

Appendicitis occurs in appendix. appendix is usually located in right quadrant of abdomen. the base of it is located 2 cm beneath the ileocecal valve that separate the large intestine from small intestine.
appendix is also known as a vermiform appendix. it is about the 9 cm in length and the range is 2 to 20 cm. diameter is 8 mm.

Faecolith
intestinal parasites
lymphoid hyperplasia
Ca of caecum
carcinoid tumor etc
the risk factor of acute appendicitis
extreme age
diabetes mellitus
immunosuppression
previous abdominal surgery etc
how could you understand that you may attack by acute appendicitis
some symptom is associated in case of f acute appendicitis such as shifting pain, pain shifts to the right iliac fossa, anorexia, nausea and vomiting.
confirmation could be possible by medical examnination
1.Muscle guarding and
2.rebound tenderness present.
4.bowel aound present
after showing this sign symptoms, differential diagnosis could be
ureteric stone, twisted ovarian cyst, peptic ulcer disease, acute cholecystitis, acute pancreatitis.
Investigation
For confirm you should have do complete blood test of differential count of WBC, urine R/M/E, RBS, serum creatine, ultrasonography and x ray of abdomen.
After different examination and investigation if acute appendicitis is confirmed you will go to the next step of treatment.
